This award winning DVD that tells the true story of the Removal of the Cherokee Indians from their ancestral lands. Featuring Wes Studie, James Earl Jones, James Garner, with Cherokees from Tahlequah, and Cherokee descendants from NE Oklahoma, this two hour documentary explores America's darkest period: President Andrew Jackson's Indian Removal Act of 1830 and the forced removal of the Cherokees Nation to what is now Oklahoma. Thousands of Cherokee died during the winter of 1838-39 - almost one quarter of the Ntion. They suffered beyond imagination and when they finally arrived in Indian Teriitory, they arrived almost without any children and with very few elders, in a way with no past and no future.
